Multi-purpose helmets sold on Temu recalled for lacking federal safety standards

Published May 7, 2026

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Multi-purpose helmets sold online at Temu are being recalled because they lack federal mandatory safety standards.

The Consumer Product Safety Commission said the approximate 740 helmets manufactured in China don't comply with positional stability and certification requirements. No incidents nor injuries have been reported.

Consumers should stop using the helmets and email LKX_jiayichen@outlook.com for a refund. Consumers should cut the straps and include a photo of the destroyed helmet.

The helmets were sold in white and black and in size small, fitting a head circumference of about 18.9 to 20.5 inches. They have black padding, straps, a buckle, and knob at the back for adjusting the fit. The size is printed on a label inside of the helmet.

They were sold on Temu from August 2024 through February 2026 for between $9 and $11.
