Mondraker recalls some MTB handlebars over potential cracking, fracturing

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Mondraker USA is recalling about 177 OnOff S9 carbon handlebars spec'd on some complete mountain bikes because they could crack or fracture during use. An additional 52 handlebars were sold in Canada.

Five incidents have been reported of the bars breaking, including two injuries resulting from a fall and causing minor abrasions. The bars were made in Taiwan.

Bikes with model numbers CRAFTY CARBON RR S (MY2026), CRAFTY CARBON XR (MY2025-MY2026), CRAFTY CARBON RR SL (MY2025-MY2026), CRAFTY UNLIMITED GULF (MY2026), DUNE CARBON XR (MY2025), FOXY CARBON RR (MY2025-MY2026), LEVEL XR (MY2026), NEAT RR SL (MY2025), ZENDIT R (MY2027), ZENDIT RR (MY2027), ZENDIT RR S (MY2027), ZENDIT XR (MY2027), and RAZE CARBON RR (MY2026) are included in the recall.

Consumers should stop using bikes and verify whether their bike is affected by using the serial number verification tool. If the bike is identified as affected, consumers should contact an authorized Mondraker dealer to arrange a free replacement of the handlebar.

The bikes were sold at Evolucion Innovations (Evo.com), The Path Bike Shop and bike stores nationwide from December 2024 through June 2026 for about $5,000 to $12,000.
