Published October 8, 2026

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Decathlon America is recalling about 1,150 Van Rysel GRVL AF bikes because the front wheel lock nut can loosen over time. No incidents nor injuries have been reported.

The recalled models are sword brown CN FR (model number 8911304), apex beige CN FR (8911305), sword pink CN FR (8911308), and GRVL AF GRX black (8929130). They were sold in sizes extra-small, small, medium, large and extra-large. They are designed for gravel riding, road cycling, commuting, and bikepacking.

Each can be identified by the model name and Van Rysel Product ID on the barcode sticker on the frame near the bottom bracket. Only Van Rysel bicycles with these Product IDs/ SKUs are included. Recalled models can be identified by the Van Rysel Product ID on the top right of the product label under the frame, beginning with the number 5.

The bikes should be taken to the nearest REI Co-op — where they were sold from March 2025 through August 2026 for between $1,400 and $2,300 — for a free inspection and repair of the fork assembly. If unable to go to an REI location, contact Decathlon customer service for assistance.
