BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Retail staff training for Shimano’s Coasting concept and the 2008 Coasting bike models is now live at www.sellingcoasting.com (click on link).

Shop employees who take the training will receive a free pair of Coasting logo socks from Sock Guy.

The site and the video content were developed by Growth Cycle, creator of the Selling Cycling program. The training is accessible through the Selling Coasting URL, and also from the Selling Cycling Training Home Page.

“Online training for retailers is one further step in the evolution of the Coasting project,” said Shannon Bryant, project manager at Shimano. “Coasting is part of a bigger movement of creating and encouraging new riders, and we know how important it is to have shop staff on board with the movement.”

Features and benefits of 19 Coasting bike models (up from 10 last year) from seven manufacturers are featured on the training site. The manufacturers represented include Fuji, Giant, K2, Phat Cycles, Raleigh, Schwinn and Trek.
