WASHINGTON, D.C. (BRAIN)—Revolution Cycles has hired Angela Koch to the newly created of events and advocacy coordinator.

Koch had lived in Portland, Oregon, for the past 10 years and most recently held the position of operations director for the Bicycle Transportation Alliance, according to press release. She has incredible experience advancing cycling causes through the support of bicycle advocacy, education and encouragement, and she has been dedicated to living a car-free lifestyle herself since graduating college, which is no small feat with three children.

At Revolution Cycles, Koch will use her expertise to create educational programs for adults and children, to plan events in each location as well as in cooperation with other local businesses and organizations, and to share her love of cycling to help strengthen the stores’ communities’ commitment to safe and enjoyable riding.

With five retail locations in the DC Metro area, including the newest location in Crystal City, Virginia that focuses on bike sharing, Revolution Cycles plans to continue its progress in bicycle advocacy and community building through bicycle-related programs.
