CARLSBAD, CA (BRAIN)—Focus Bicycles USA and Mike’s Bikes have partnered to carry Focus in the largest independent retailer on the West Coast beginning January 1.

Through this new relationship, Focus will serve as a key component in Mike’s Bikes’ sales strategy, according to a press release. Focus produces a complete line of German-engineered and built road, mountain, triathlon, cyclocross and commuter bikes. Since its U.S. launch in 2009, Focus has generated significant interest and exposure through its involvement in racing and the international cycling media.

“Focus is proud to align itself with Mike’s Bikes as it continues to strengthen its position in the market,” said Focus Bicycles USA CEO Scott Rittschof. “Under the leadership of Ken Martin and Matt Adams, Mike’s has demonstrated through its new store concepts, employee training programs and other initiatives that it is a premier bicycle retailer in the Northern California. By partnering with Mike’s, we will reach more riders who would call Focus their bike of choice.

”Mike’s Bikes will feature a selection of premium Focus models, which are recognized around the world for their 'by pros, for pros' design, engineering and ride quality. We conducted an exhaustive search for the perfect bicycle brand to expand our high-end offering at Mike's Bikes. We needed a high performance, differentiated product, top-notch customer service, and a business plan that would help us be successful. Focus has delivered on all counts, and we are happy to be bringing them to riders all around the Bay Area," said Mike’s Bikes co-owner Ken Martin.
