Dick's to reopen some stores in 26 states

PITTSBURGH (BRAIN) — In areas where local guidelines and public health considerations allow, some Dick's Sporting Goods stores in 26 states are reopening with social distancing measures in place during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Not all Dick's Sporting Goods in those states are open, and to learn the status of the one near you, go to dickssportinggoods.com. Store hours will be Monday-Saturday 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Sunday 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

Curbside contactless pickup also will be available at the reopened stores.

In addition to enforcing social distancing, reopened stores will:

  • Designate a shopping hour for at-risk customers from 8 a.m.-9 a.m. Monday-Saturday, and 9 a.m.-10 a.m. Sunday.
  • Install sneeze guards at checkout registers.
  • Clean checkout areas after each transaction.
  • Sanitize carts and baskets.
  • Require teammates to wear face coverings.

States where Dick's Sporting Goods have reopened are Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, West Virginia, and Wyoming.

Dick's closed all of its stores on March 19 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
