SAN DIEGO (BRAIN) — BMC USA Corporation will be taking over Canadian distribution of BMC bicycles from Outdoor Gear Canada, effective Friday, the company announced. Canadian retailers will have access to U.S. inventory and begin working with the U.S. office starting Sept.

BOULDER, Colo. (BRAIN) — Merchandise sales at IBDs fell 5 percent in June over the same period in 2013 to total $373 million, according to Leisure Trends Group's latestRetailTrak IBD sales summary. And although unit sales fell 8 percent, average retail-selling prices rose 4 percent over June 2013.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — Dynacraft is recalling about 3,100 youth bikes, sold exclusively at Toys"R"Us, because the front wheel can fall off. 

Consumer are being told to stop using the bikes and to contact Dynacraft for a free repair.

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (BRAIN) — Challenge is releasing a Team Edition version of its Chicane cyclocross tubular, with a 320 tpi cotton casing.

Last season Challenge offered its Grifo and Limus tubulars with the supple casing, but the Team Edition Chicane is new for this year.
