GoPro announces new lower-priced camera

SAN MATEO, Calif. (BRAIN) — GoPro's new HERO+ action camera offers Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity for $200.

The HERO+ is waterproof and compatible with GoPro's existing array of mounts and accessories. It captures 1080p60 and 720p60 video and 8MP single, Time Lapse and Burst photos. Wi-Fi allows it to connect with GoPro's mobile app and allows the user to quickly create and share short video clips across leading social media channels. The HERO+ has an integrated waterproof housing.

GoPro's action camera lineup now includes:

  • HERO4 Black: $499.99
  • HERO4 Silver: $399.99
  • HERO4 Session: $299.99
  • HERO+LCD: $299.99
  • HERO+: $199.99
  • HERO:  $129.99

HERO+ will be available at authorized retailers around the world beginning Oct. 4.
