RedMonkey Sports and Wolf Tooth team up on new fat silicone grips

Published April 25, 2016

LAKE FOREST, Calif. (BRAIN) — The Wolf tooth Fat Paw mountain bike grips were designed by Wolf Tooth Components and manufactured by Red Monkey Sports. The 100 percent silcone grips for riders who prefer a large diameter grip with a softer feel. The 9.5mm silicone wall results in an installed diameter of 36mm, which the company said is the fattest silicone grip available.

The grips have a tacky texture designed to work with or without gloves in all weather conditions. The extrusion process results in a dual desnity grip that has an inner layer of more dense silicone and an outer layer that is more porous to absorb vibration.

"RedMonkey Sports has been creating a high quality high vibration damping MTB grip for years, and we were thrilled when Wolf Tooth approached us with this concept. We are excited to partner with Wolf Tooth, as their passion and dedication to making quality components is already very well known in the industry," said RedMonkey Sports founder Michael Nasco.

The new Wolf Tooth Fat Paw grips are made in the USA, are available now from either company's website: wolftoothcomponents.com or redmonkeysports.com. MSRP is $23.95.
