HANCOCK, MA (BRAIN)—Mountain bike legends Brian Lopes, Hans Rey and Eric Carter are just a few of the big names taking part in the 2008 Kenda Bikefest next month in the Berkshires.
"We're looking forward to really stamping the Kenda name on this festival and we're bringing some of our top athletes to lead clinics, demos and rides for fest-goers of all ages," said Jim Wannamaker, Kenda's North American marketing director.
Aside from Rey, Lopes and Carter, members of the Kenda Titus Hayes Professional Racing Team will also join the festival.
Kenda is sponsoring new activities including a nighttime scavenger hunt ride, as well as old favorites like the Tire Toss Competition, the Ultimate Obstacle Course Challenge and wheelbarrow races.
"Kenda is also bringing a huge retail presence (to the festival)," said Joan Hanscom, Kenda Bikefest event director. "In fact, if all goes according to schedule, fest-goers will see lots of new Kenda products on display and for sale."
The Kenda Bikefest is July 25-27 in Hancock, Massachusetts. For more information, visit www.bicyclefest.com.
