The 2013 BRAIN Dealer Tour - San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (BRAIN) — Bicycle Retailer & Industry News editors and sponsors will canvas the Bay Area this week, visiting 14 retailers in the East Bay, Marin County and San Francisco by bike.

Editors will post daily stories and photo galleries on the BRAIN website, and editorial coverage from the visits will be featured in the magazine’s March 1 edition.

Sponsoring the BRAIN Bay Area Dealer Tour are Advanced Sports International, Bell Helmets, Timex, White Lightning, Interbike and Bikes Belong. Representatives from each company will ride along with editors. Local rental shop Blazing Saddles is providing a fleet of Fuji road bikes for tour participants.

The Dealer Tour starts on Tuesday. Riders will make their way across the bay, stopping in on Bay Area Bicycles and Tip Top Bike Shop in Oakland and Wrench Science and Missing Link Bicycles in Berkeley. Capping off the first day is a reception hosted by Bikes Belong at the Chrome Industries’ retail store in San Francisco starting at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday the group will head across the Golden Gate Bridge to Marin County, making stops at Tam Bikes, Studio Velo, Sunshine Bicycles and Mike’s Bikes. The final day will be spent in the city, visiting San Francisco’s American Cyclery, Sports Basement, Box Dog Bikes, City Cycles and Mojo Bicycle Café.

Readers can follow along on Facebook and Twitter (#braindealertour) where editors and sponsors will post photos and interesting tidbits throughout the day.
