OXNARD, CA (BRAIN) — Albabici, the California-based distributor of Italian brands, has hired former Showers Pass owner Ed Dalton to try and expand sales of the Nalini clothing line in the U.S.

Dalton, who sold the Portland-based Showers Pass just before Interbike last year, joins Albabici as senior VP/director of sales for North America, said Albabici president Gianluca Caliari. Caliari's said Dalton's primary responsibility will be Nalini.

Dalton said Nalini's quality and design is top notch, noting that nearly hald the field at this year's Tour de France wore Nalini-branded clothing or kits that were made by Nalini for other labels.

Besides Nalini, Albabici imports Bianchi Milano apparel, Fondriest frames and bikes, Selle SMP saddles, Limar helmets, Sci'Con bags and travel cases, Ursus road wheels, Forza components,Tiso components, Hibros skin care products, and BiciSupport tools and shop equipment.
