BERKELEY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Jerry Pomije, QBP's vice president of operations and finance, was recently elected Board President of the National Interscholastic Cycling Association, NICA.

Pomije said his vision for NICA is to see it grow into a new inclusive mainstream nationwide high school sport.

An executive at QBP since 1997, Pomije hopes to share his skills in vision, strategy, execution, finance, and operations to help NICA reach its full potential. He’s actively involved in coaching and supporting youth activities including baseball, football, basketball, and outdoor environmental retreats.

“I’m super excited to use my skills to help the NICA staff and organization continue to grow,” he said. “NICA is already drawing tens of thousands of people to the sport of cycling and has the potential to grow exponentially. I’m honored that the NICA board has elected me to the role of board president, especially as a father with a son racing in NICA’s Minnesota league.”
