Argon 18 goes dealer direct in US

Published August 11, 2014

MONTREAL (BRAIN) — High-end road brand Argon 18 has ceased working through distributors in the U.S. and will begin shipping framesets and bikes direct to American IBDs, effective immediately.

"The United States cycling market, while not new for us, is really at the breakthrough point," said Argon 18 president Martin Rioux. "We have had tremendous success with our triathlon products, and that has be our claim to fame in the U.S. Now with the Jelly Belly Cycling presented by Maxxis, Clif Bar Cycling and BORA-Argon 18 road racing teams on board helping to drive traffic to retail, this move will allow us to service our IBD customers and satisfy the growing demand."

In a release, Argon 18 said, "The sales channel will continue to be with specialist retailers in both road racing and triathlon that offer brick-and-mortar service to consumers."

Warehousing, technical support, and sales and customer service will all be based in the U.S. For more information, contact Mark de Fabry at (844) TRI-ROAD (874-7623) or mark@argon18bike.com.
