WILMINGTON, Del. (BRAIN) — Blue Bicycles has hired creative and marketing veteran Matt Reece as the brand's director of marketing.

Reece will be responsible for all branding, creative, and marketing for Blue Bicycles with a focus on marketing initiatives, team and brand ambassador programs, product launches, and dealer support.

"We are excited to have someone of Matt Reece's caliber joining the team," said Steven Harad, the CEO of Blue Bicycles. "Matt is filling a critical role that will directly impact the growth of Blue and I couldn't be more confident in this decision"

Reece has more than 20 years of creative, marketing and communications experience with a strong cycling background. Previously he was the publisher of Liberty Sports Magazine (a regional cycling, running and triathlon magazine), principal of Eye See Studio (a creative design firm with clients including Utrecht Art Supply, Campbell's, and several leading cycling retailers), and served in roles for many events including Parx Casino Philly Cycling Classic, Philly Tri, SheRox, and several Gran Fondos. He also is co-owner/producer of the Endurance Sports Expo, an annual cycling, running, and tri consumer show.

Reece is a lifetime cyclist, occasional racer, and heavily involved in junior and U23 rider development.

"I'm thrilled to be part of the Blue Bicycles team and look forward to using my background in creative and marketing, combined with my passion for cycling, to continue to build the Blue brand," he said. "2015 is going to be a big year for Blue and I can't wait to start unveiling everything we are planning."
