Published July 25, 2016

SQUAMISH, British Columbia (BRAIN) — Mountain bike website PinkBike.com is holding its third annual video contest with GoPro.

The site launched the contest with a video that generated 2.5 million views in its first week.

The GoPro of the World: Best Line Contest III offers $25,000 in cash prizes. Videos can be entered at PinkBike.com. Judging criteria is based on composition and framing, perspective and degree of difficulty of shooting, performance and style, and finally, overall beauty and lighting. A judging panel will select the 10 best edits each month and then have Pinkbike and GoPro fans vote for their top three. Each month, the top three winners will advance to the finalists' bracket, where Pinkbike and GoPro fans will then cast their vote for who they want to take home the Grand Prize.

"We are proud to partner with GoPro for the Best Line Contest III this year," said Pinkbike CEO Karl Burkat. "GoPro continues to support the mountain bike industry and allows people to see the community through a different perspective. It shows that mountain biking is not only present in the outdoor industry, but continues to expand into other markets."
