Big Agnes and Honey Stinger to relocate to larger combined space

Published September 7, 2016

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Outdoor brands Big Agnes and Honey Stinger will combine their office operations under one roof in a new, larger location in Steamboat Springs. For years, the sister brands have occupied several office spaces located throughout town. The new location is within minutes of the Steamboat Ski Area, the Yampa River and trails.

"Consolidating our operations into one space has long been a goal of ours," said Bill Gamber, co-founder and president of Honey Stinger/Big Agnes. "We feel tremendously fortunate to have found a property in Steamboat Springs that not only accommodates our growing staff, but also gives us close access to local trails, the ski area and the Yampa River for our favorite activities like Nordic and downhill skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking and fly fishing."

The new building will accommodate more than 60 employees, including accounting, product development, sales, marketing, customer service, dealer services and warranty. Big Agnes and Honey Stinger remain separate business entities, but the companies said the consolidation will be beneficial as some ownership and staff roles are shared between companies. Honey Stinger and Big Agnes anticipate some minor remodeling, but they expect to move a first wave of employees into the new headquarters early next month.
