Science in Sport hires North American general manager

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (BRAIN) — The growing UK nutrition brand Science in Sport has hired a general manager for North American growth and development.

Sales and product management veteran Tonya Wearner has been charged with leading Science in Sport's U.S. expansion in 2017. Wearner, who started with the company in January, is responsible for building revenue from Science in Sport's direct e-commerce platform, and through third-party online retailers. She will also develop and implement multimedia marketing and athlete acquisition strategies, establish domestic third-party logistic services and customer care.

Wearner has more than 16 years of sales and marketing experience with consumer brands. Prior to joining SiS, she ran her own business consultancy, advising companies on brand licensing, retail market expansion and product management.
