MEQUON, Wis. (BRAIN) — Industry veteran Jon Swanson is joining the Hayes Bicycle Group as its director of product management at its global headquarters here.
Swanson most recently served as head of advanced concepts at Fox Racing Inc. and previously as senior global category manager at Giant Bicycles in California.
Swanson said, "I enjoyed growing up in the Midwest, and look forward to returning, and raising my kids here." He and his family are eager to build a pump track in their backyard, he said.
He will oversee all Hayes Performance Systems' bicycle brands, including Answer, Hayes Disc Brakes, Manitou, Sunringlé and Wheelsmith.
Darren Campbell, Hayes Bicycle Group's vice president and general manager, said, "We are very excited to have Jon on board. His extensive product knowledge and intimate understanding of our markets will make a significant impact on advancing our product offering."
