Miami's Two Wheel Picker moves to larger spot

Published February 18, 2015

MIAMI (BRAIN) – Two Wheel Picker bike shop in Miami has moved into a larger location with better visibility. The new location is 20 percent larger than the old one.

The new space allows Two Wheel Picker to have more bikes and equipment on display as well as expanded area for assembly, modifications and repairs with delivery prep, said Frank Vega, the store's owner.

"Where our shop was we were hidden away and no one knew we were there ... Now we're closer to the street, so we get a lot more walk-ins and people can find us easier."

Vega's shop, open since 2013, caters to the city rider.

"In our store we'll teach you how to ride your bike in a safe manner along with other traffic," he said.

The store is also known for its restoration of vintage bicycles. "Our restorations have a twist in that we take old bikes and give them some new parts," Vega said. "We also paint them and try to put the original decals on them if the customer wants."

Two Wheel Picker's new address is 12471 SW 130 Street, Unit B-1, Miami.
