Boulder, CO – The Amy D. Foundation today announced the addition of Mo Bruno Roy, Katheryn Curi, and Steven Elmes to the Board of Directors. They join the two active members Joan Hanscom and Daniel Dombroski.

Citing the continued growth of the road and cyclocross programs, as well as a host of new goals for the organization, founder Dan Dombroski felt expanding the Board was the best path to success. “As we enter our fifth year, the needs and potential of the Amy D. Foundation continue to expand beyond what any of us envisioned possible,” said Dombroski. “I’ve had the pleasure of working individually with each of the new board members, so when we looked at what was best for the organization as it related to growth and new goals, it was quite clear to me who to ask. Thankfully they all said yes.”

The current Manager for the Amy D. Foundation cyclocross team, Mo Bruno Roy, has been an Elite cyclist competing internationally from 2003 to 2015. She regularly raced and trained with Amy Dombroski in the US and in Belgium where they shared pre-World Cup curry dinners and a love for horribly hard, muddy courses. She has been working professionally as a muscular therapist for 20+ years, is a yoga teacher, and is passionate about cycling, running, hiking and vegan cooking. She lives in Arlington, MA with her husband Matt and their two cats, Pippin + Merry.

Katheryn Curi is the Former US National Road Cycling Champion (2005) and a World Cup winner (2008).  She has served as director sportif of the Amy D. Foundation road cycling program for four years and will continue in that roll for the coming year. Katheryn was a teammate of Amy's while both were on Webcor Builders Professional Women's Cycling team and looks forward to adding to her involvement with the foundation. "Being part of the Amy D. Foundation has been an amazing way to continue Amy's legacy and for me to give back to the sport that I love," Said Curi.

Steven Elmes owns and operates SJE Productions, a one-man marketing agency based in Boulder, CO, where he helps a number of companies develop and execute consumer engagement strategies. Additionally he is the Director of Sponsorships and Partnerships for the North American Handmade Bicycle Show. A veteran of Fat City Cycles, Elmes founded Independent Fabrication in 1995 and remained with IF until 2001 when he relocated to Boulder.

The Amy D. Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based out of Boulder, CO. The organization was created in 2013 following the tragic death of world-class cyclocross racer Amy Dombroski. The Amy D. Foundation programming aims to build participation, opportunity, and equality for women in the sport of cycling, promoting healthy personal development that transcends the sport.
