As part of CHAPTER2's ongoing expansion in the US, Mike Pryde (Founder / Design + Marketing Director) announces the hiring of Brett Lindstrom as US Brand Manager, effective August 1 2019.

Since July 2017 the New Zealand born brand has been working with a select number of dealers in the US, to supply growing demand for its high-performance road bike frames. Following a very successful Sea Otter Classic launch in Monterey, CA in April 2019, where they showed the soon-to-be-released AO gravel frame, the company has decided to hire a full-time Brand Manager to increase its presence and network of dealers.

Brett has over 21 years of experience in the Sporting Goods industry, with a number of reputable companies including Lafuma and Eddie Bauer. He also helped establish a subsidiary for Lapierre in the US, where he was the Sales and Marketing Manager from 2008-2011. Most recently Brett was the US Brand Manager for Lake shoes, having joined them in 2012.

In hiring Brett, Mike illustrates the need to have a full time Manager in the US to work closely with dealers; to not only grow geographically across the US, but also provide a local end-consumer and dealer-centric customer service center from San Diego, where Brett will be based.

"Brett is not only an accomplished cyclist, having raced in various continents from a young age, but also has the necessary experience and work ethic to deliver the company's growth plan in the US. We welcome his input and wealth of knowledge as the company continues to expand." Says Mike.

CHAPTER2 offers dealers a unique business model of just in time delivery from its centralized warehouse in Hong Kong, supported by their logistics partner DHL providing a door to door delivery service.

In less than two years, the company has launched three models of 100% Toray® made carbon road frames, each with a unique brand of visually distinctive New Zealand inspired aesthetics. The existing range will soon be complemented by the new AO gravel frame (planned for delivery in September 2019).

The company is bullish that the rapidly growing gravel market in the US, alongside the existing road market, will create a strong presence for the brand in the world's largest cycling market.

With a frameset-only business model catering to discerning cyclists looking for something different or boutique, CHAPTER2's omni-channel distribution model allows consumers to decide how they want to buy their next frame - either direct, or working closely with their IBDs to build their dream bike.

CHAPTER2 believes that dealers are an integral part of the journey for customers wanting a CHAPTER2; from bike fitting, parts selection all the way to final build and ongoing service.
