Former 4X World Cup rider joins the GMBN Team

20 January – Bath, UK: The Play Sports Group (PSG) is excited to announce the appointment of Rich Payne as the newest presenter of its acclaimed mountain bike channel, Global Mountain Bike Network (GMBN). Founded in 2015, GMBN is home to the world's largest MTB community, currently attracting over 22 million video content views per month.

Rich has been riding for 20 years, racing locally, nationally and at World Cup level in Four-Cross. He then focussed fully on enduro and the EWS series, where he created a popular series of videos titled 'EWS or Bust', documenting racing as a privateer, which quickly gained notoriety and empathy.

Rich will work alongside co-presenters Martyn Ashton, Neil Donoghue, Blake Samson and Andrew Dodd in GMBN regulars such as the weekly Dirt Shed Show, Ask GMBN, MTB Maintenance and How to's. He will join them across a number of exciting adventures this year, boosting enduro coverage, checking out the latest gear and chatting to the biggest names in MTB.

Joining the GMBN presenting team, Rich Payne said: "I'm excited to join the team at GMBN, it's an amazing opportunity to work with some great people and to share what insights I've learned about riding and racing bikes over the years with as many people as possible. I can't wait to see what the future holds and look forward to bringing the viewers some amazing content."

Simon Wear, Founder and CEO of Play Sports Group (parent company of GMBN), said: "Welcoming Rich on board and further expanding the GMBN team will help us create even more engaging off-road content to serve our many viewers worldwide. He will add a new dimension to our already brilliant presenter roster, having raced across a number of disciplines at a variety of different levels of competition. Rich is clearly a great new addition and is already stuck into plans for exciting new adventures!"
