Milwaukee, WI: Retail Toolkit announced that they have welcomed David DeKeyser to their Customer Success team, where he will coach retailers across the country using real-time data to overcome the everyday operational obstacles of specialty retail, and chart a course to maximum profitability during periods of uncertainty.

"Many independent bike dealers spent this year experiencing explosive sales growth as a result of the pandemic," David said, "but are now asking themselves how they can turn those one-time visitors into life-long customers while navigating the lack of available bike inventory. While they're grateful to be succeeding in a time when many other retail industries are not, the pandemic has complicated and compounded the challenges they face each day."

Alongside his wife, Rebecca Cleveland, David owned and operated a successful bicycle retail store for 18 years until its sale in early 2019, and was the general manager and partner in a three-store bicycle retail chain for 10 years prior to that. Currently, David helps aspiring and current retailers as part of the NBDA's P2 consult program and writes for Bicycle Retailer. He added, "There is truth in data, and the results are impressive. I wish I would have had access to something like Retail Toolkit when I was an owner."

Retail Toolkit's software platform helps retailers track and improve their store performance with sales reporting and inventory management tools, team performance with labor budgeting and staff scheduling, and customer performance with email marketing and loyalty program tools, all in one application. The software accomplishes this by utilizing a direct connection with a store's point-of-sale system to sync transaction data in real time for the most up-to-date insights.

Retail Toolkit general manager Dan Kowalke said, "We are committed to investing in creating great experiences for brands, industry associations, retailers, and, ultimately consumers. Real-time data is the backbone of national big box and digital first brands, and now independent retailers can leverage their sales and marketing data to compete and win."

"We strive for best-in-class support and ongoing education, and adding David will allow us to share his deep wealth of knowledge with even more retailers and the industry more broadly, something we're very excited about."
