SAN RAFAEL, CA (January 17, 2022) — Trips for Kids National announced today the promotion of Amy Carver and RJ Heckelman, as well as expanding the roles of Board of Directors, Chris Degenaars and Dan Jeffris.

The nonprofit, which provides transformative cycling experiences to youth in under- resourced communities, has promoted Amy Carver to Director of Community & Development and RJ Heckelman to Director of Partnerships & Resources.

"In the wake of the past 18 months, the Trips for Kids organization emerged strong and with new purpose, due in large part to our relentlessly creative, fearless, and committed staff," said Patricia Gallery, Board President. "Working with the board, volunteers, and community partners, Amy and RJ exceeded all expectations in their roles to build a robust sponsorship program, a new online learning platform, and to roll out new Trips for Kids community member programs and resources."

In their respective roles, Carver and Heckelman will oversee all aspects of local partner success and implementation of programs, management of the national online shop, donor development through fundraising and sponsorships, among other responsibilities.

"It's been a wonderful journey to witness the evolution of Trips for Kids National since we formed in 2017," Carver said. "We plan to roll our sleeves up even higher to support our leaders throughout North America and help the power of the bicycle transform more young lives. We are overjoyed to have the tremendous support of our board, founder, volunteers, and our entire Trips for Kids community."

In addition to staff promotions, Trips for Kids National has expanded the roles for two members on the Board of Directors, Chris Degenaars and Dan Jeffris. Degenaars will now serve as Secretary and Jeffris as Treasurer, respectively.

Gallery shared, "Now in our 5th year of operations, Trips for Kids National is on course to deliver the next phase of programming resources to an expanded community of youth development organizations. To step up to this challenge, we have brought on a board of directors with the skills and passion to execute our plan."
