Irvine, CA (February 7, 2022) – Heather Mason, President of the National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) announced today the opportunity for the industry at large to join in a roundtable event to discuss and answer questions around the landmark Bicycle Buying 2021 Consumer Research Study conducted late last year. The virtual Roundtable event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday, February 16th

“Suppliers and retailers have asked some important questions during our three previous education webinars about the consumer research study, and this an opportunity for anyone who is interested in finding out more, or for those who have purchased one of the reports, to ask questions about the scope, research methodology, findings, or anything they have a question about,” Mason said.

The Roundtable will feature Keith Storey, president of Sports Marketing Surveys USA (SMS) the research firm that conducted the Bicycle Buying 2021 Consumer Research Study for the NBDA.

“Keith Storey has nearly 30 years’ experience in business analysis and market research. Almost all this time has been spent specifically in the Sports and Sporting Goods Industry, making him one of the world’s leading authorities on sports market research. In addition to running the SMS U.S. office for 12-years, Keith manages all qualitative and quantitative research for a wide range of clients including sports equipment manufacturers, governing-bodies and trade associations.”

“The NBDA is fortunate to be able to work with Keith, and anyone participating in our February 16 roundtable will have a unique opportunity to talk to one of the world’s foremost authorities on cycling consumers, including ebike riders, in the U.S.”, Mason added.

Jay Townley, Resident Futurist, and a founding partner of Human Powered Solutions (HPS) will also participate in the February 16 Roundtable. HPS wrote the NBDA Bicycle Buying Consumer Research Study Retailer Report that summarizes the 150 PowerPoint slide supplier report into a 59-page document for retailers with strategic business planning and tactical merchandising and sales suggestions.

“We know there are always sincere doubts in our community about any research, and our February 16 Roundtable at 1:00 p.m. Eastern is an opportunity to ask our principal researcher, and one of the world’s leading authorities on sports market research their questions,” concluded Mason.
