GRAND JUNCTION, CO – Roam Events, the party planners behind Roam Fest, are joining forces with Specialized Bicycles to further elevate their flagship three-day mountain bike festivals in Knoxville, TN, Fruita, CO, and Sedona, AZ.

“Specialized is honored to continue our partnership party with Roam Events,” says Senior Sports Marketing Manager Fiona Swartz. “We’ve been supporting Roam for over five years now and believe wholeheartedly in the people behind the operation, along with their mission. It’s a privilege to come in as Title Sponsor of Roam Fest and we’re excited for the opportunity to support organizations that set the bar for inclusivity and a welcoming atmosphere”

A significant portion of Specialized’s support will contribute to existing Roam Fest initiatives, including BIPOC Scholarships, para athlete programming, size-inclusivity programming, queer outreach and the elevation of community leaders within cycling. Specialized’s support will also allow Roam Events to keep event ticket prices low, to further their abiding commitment to financial inclusivity.

“We have always marched to the beat of our own drum,” Ash Zolton, co-founder of Roam Events acknowledges. “Our events sell-out in seconds and a big reason for that is because folks trust we’ll be hosting one hell of a bike party where they know they’ll feel both safe and stoked. I think the bike industry as a whole is taking big steps in the right direction, and we're amped to work even more closely with Specialized to keep shaking things up, setting new standards and creating positive change.”

Roam Fest is primarily geared toward experienced riders who identify as women and/or non-binary. The events offer bike demos (including e-bikes where allowed), group rides and shuttles, workshops, adventure film screenings, panel discussions, “raffles that don’t suck,” catered dinners, and a banger of a dance party to its hundreds of participants.

“The folks at Specialized get what we're trying to do,” says Director of Operations and Partnerships at Roam Events, Sami Ryan. “They fully understand and are part of our mission to foster inclusivity through ridiculously fun bike parties. As a major supporter of Roam Events since we launched in 2017, elevating our partnership with Specialized was a natural progression that reflects the genuine commitment they have made to us over the years.”
