Wheels Manufacturing opens sponsorship application system

Published February 6, 2013

LOUISVILLE, CO (BRAIN) — Wheels Manufacturing wrapped up 2012 with a $10,000 matching funds campaign to benefit Boulder, Colorado-based Community Cycles and is now accepting sponsorship applications from cycling-related organizations and individual cyclists nationwide.

Boulder's Community Cycles teaches bike repair skills and helps get refurbished bikes into the community. Wheels' $10,000 donation was used to match the organization's year-end fundraising.

"It was an excellent campaign, and it's great to partner with such a strong service organization," said Wheels owner Dave Batka.

For 2013, Wheels is implementing an open application format.

Proposals from cycling organizations, teams, clubs and individuals can be submitted on the Wheels Manufacturing website.

"We want to help a wide range of cyclists and cycling causes," said Batka. "Providing an open application process levels the playing field, and we're looking forward to seeing a lot of creative and compelling sponsorship proposals."
