Big Shot now offers cruisers

Published October 2, 2013

FORT COLLINS, CO (BRAIN) — Big Shot Bikes, which has offered customizable fixies online and via IBDs, is expanding with a cruiser line.

The Big Shot Cruiser will be available in two frame styles and with optional racks and fenders, as well as an array of frame and component color combinations. As with the company's fixie, the new model will be sold consumer direct online and through bike shops, who will be able to stock some pre-configured bikes if they choose and offer custom bikes via an iPad app. The bikes are assembled and shipped from Fort Collins, Colorado.

“We have been overwhelmed by the loyal following for our fixies and single speeds and look forward to getting people out on our cruisers,” said Big Shot founder and owner Matt Peterson. “They’re a blast to ride, whether you’re looking for a simple beach cruiser, a city commuter with fenders or a full-blown Dutch-style cargo bike.”

Big Shot's custom tool allows customers to first choose between a low- and high-bar frame style. Then, there are up to nine color options for the frame as well as the pedals, rims, tires, chain guard, grips, handlebar and saddle. Finally, users can add stainless steel front and rear fenders and Dutch-style cargo racks with wood inlays.

The basic cruiser will retail for $364. Cruisers with front and rear fenders will retail for $374. A utility-ready cruiser with front and rear fenders and racks will sell for $399.
