Sigma to close US office, consolidate operations in Germany

Published June 28, 2019

ST. CHARLES, Ill. (BRAIN) — Sigma Germany will be closing its offices in the U.S. at the end of July, consolidating its operations at the brand's headquarters in Neustadt, Germany.

The company said the move will "streamline the operation and allow for future investment in research, development and growth."

The U.S. office handles sales, marketing and distribution.

"Sigma has been part of the U.S. market for over 25 years and the decision, though not an easy one, to bring the sales and distribution to Germany, makes sense for our business at this time. We appreciate the dedication and hard work the U.S. office has put in over these years and thank them for their help with this transition," said Frank Sirringhaus, Sigma Sport's global managing director in a statement this week.

Gindi Orloff, Sigma USA's general manager, said," It has been a pleasure leading this professional and energetic U.S. team for the past few years. We value each and every one of our customers and appreciate their commitment to our brand and products over the years. I am confident Sigma Germany will continue to provide amazing service and innovation for the years to come."

All in stock items at Sigma USA's Illinois warehouse will be offered at a 20% discount off regular price effective immediately. Purchase orders will be filled and shipped in the order they are received, and no back orders will be honored. Prepayment or net 10 terms only. Orders will be accepted and processed from Sigma USA through July 12.
