Quality Bicycle Products is now serving bicycle retailers and suppliers with a larger and more energy-efficient distribution center in Reno, Nevada. At 185,000-sq.-ft., the newly built distribution center (DC) triples the company's capacity for product inventory compared to its former Reno facility, enabling Q to better service its retailer and supplier partners now and in the future.

"The new Reno DC will handle our continued growth and future demand from retailers in the Western region, while also being environmentally sustainable," said Rich Tauer, QBP President.

The new Q-Reno facility was built to LEED standards established by the U.S. Green Council, similar to Q distribution centers in Minnesota and Pennsylvania, which saves energy and resources. The facility will eventually utilize solar power, as do Q facilities in Minnesota and Pennsylvania.

The design and operation of the new Q-Reno distribution center support the Q strategic anchors of Practice Environmental and Supply Chain Responsibility and Be a Great Workplace, while also supporting the company's goal to be carbon neutral by 2030.

In addition to the Reno facility, QBP offers specialty bicycle retailers more than 42,000 products from 450 brands via its distribution centers in Colorado, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Toronto, Vancouver and Taiwan. Q employs approximately 80 people at its new Reno facility, and more than 700 worldwide.
