Borealis Fat Bikes acquires Terrene Tires

Published July 11, 2022

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Borealis Fat Bikes acquired Terrene Tires from Krueger Outdoor Inc.

"This was the perfect opportunity to further our commitment to fat bikes with the best tires on the market," said Borealis owner Steve Kaczmarek. "Our market strategy will be consistent with our approach at Borealis. We will offer high margin and low buy in quantities to dealers and also provide online options for customers."

Terrene headquarters will move from Minneapolis to Colorado Springs to operate alongside Borealis. The company initially plans to produce only plus-sized and fat bike tires, which includes 2.6-inch widths or greater in the 26- and 27.5-inch diameters.

"We are overjoyed Borealis has acquired Terrene, giving both companies a bright future as
leaders in the fat bike industry," said founder Tim Krueger.
