Knog opens European headquarters in France

Published September 26, 2012

RICHMOND, VICTORIA, Australia (BRAIN) — The Australian accessory brand Knog is opening a European headquarters in Lyon, France, the company announced Wednesday.

Knog also announced three new European distributors: Tiky Distribution in Saint Aubin en Bray, France; ESM Sport in Francin, France; and NOW Company  in Wavre, Belgium.

Longtime bike industry professional Richard Gros will head up Knog's operations in Lyon.

“This marks a huge shift in our distribution strategy," said Hugo Davidson, Knog’s CEO. “France  has always been a difficult market for us; we have tried to sell our innovative lighting and locks through a variety of distributors. However, trying to find companies who could align themselves with our original, urban and design-driven approach to bike accessories always eluded us.”

The three new distributors will all have stock by the end of September, Davidson said.
