Local officials give go ahead for November Eurobike

Published June 26, 2020

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN, Germany (BRAIN) — Eurobike organizers say local officials have given it the go ahead to hold its event here on its new dates, Nov. 24-26, 2020.

"According to the Corona Regulation of the State of Baden-Württemberg of 23 June 2020, from September onwards trade fairs may be held, providing they comply with the corresponding Corona guidelines. We are delighted that the special edition EUROBIKE will go ahead in compliance with the regulations," the show organizer said.

The event had originally been planned for Sept. 2-4 but the show announced in May it would move to the late November dates due to COVID-19 concerns. The rescheduled show is called "Eurobike Special" and will not include a consumer day; some regular features, like bike demos and social events, will not be held.

Under local rules, trade fairs can be held with "appropriate traceability, social distancing and hygiene measures," according to the show.

"We take our responsibility towards exhibitors and trade visitors extremely seriously and will have a corresponding protection and hygiene concept in place. The Eurobike organization is now working according to the authorities' guidelines to put in place detailed protection measures as quickly as possible," the show said.
