Strada Wireless adds digital HR, speed and cadence

Published December 5, 2012

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN) — Cateye has added digital heart rate, speed and cadence functions to its popular Strada Wireless cycling computer.

The 2.4 GHz digital wireless system is said to be virtually interference free and features automatic sensor recognition. A new detachable fabric heart rate sensor is designed to be more comfortable than traditional chest straps.

Along with standard cycling functions, the Strada Digital Wireless features a low-battery alarm for both the computer head and sensor. The full 430 model with speed, cadence and heart rate sensors has an MSRP of $150. The 410 model with cadence is $100 and the 420 model, with heartrate, is $120.

Sensors and straps are available separately to upgrade the lower priced models. Extra bike kits also are available.
