Knog adds 'seeing' headlights to product line

Published March 4, 2013

RICHMOND, Victoria, Australia (BRAIN) — After making a name for itself in the market for small headlights and tailights designed to let bikers be seen at night, the Australian brand Knog is now introducing its first lights intended to be powerful enough for riders to see unlit roads.

The Knog Blinder Road lights deliver a 200 lumen front beam and a 70 lumen strobe on the rear.

The lights are compact, USB rechargeable and waterproof and have an integrated silicone package with an anodised aluminum face.

They attach without tools with a detachable, flexible silicone strap with stainless steel clip, suitable for road bike bars measuring 22-27 millimeter or 27-35 millimeters and seatposts of 22–35 millimeters.

The headlight has two flash patterns and burn time of up to 1 hour on the brightest mode and 6 hours in eco-flash mode. The rear has three different flash patterns and up to 20 hours' burn time in eco-flash mode.

They are available in four colors. Knog Blinder Road Front & Rear will be available next month.

The front light will retail for about $85 and the rear for $60.
