SRAM's new Rise 60 mountain bike wheels aimed at XC and trail riders

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM"s new Rise 60 wheels feature a new hookless 21-mm carbon rim and new hub features. The Rise 60 wheels will be available in 27.5-inch (in January) and 29-inch sizes (in November).

The new wheels includes a variety of new SRAM features introduced on other models earlier this year. They include Solo Spoke — the same size spoke throughout the wheelset — and Speedball bearings. The front hub wil be available with SRAM's Predictive Steering axle attachment on the 29-inch wheels, for use with the Rock Shox RS-1 inverted cross country racing fork. The rear hub will be available with a 10-speed or XD cassette driver.

The wheels are available with customizable decal kits.

Weights start at 1,390 grams for the lightest 27.5-inch configuration; the lightest 29er configuration is 1,430 grams.

Retaill prices will range from $950 to $1,040.
