(BRAIN) — TRP is now selling branded disc brake bedding machines, made by Sinter in Slovenia. The machines will be available direct from TRP's North American and European offices or through its distributors.
Sinter, a brake-pad manufacturer, began selling its bedding machine in 2023. The company says the machine quickly and consistently beds in new pads or rotors after installation or replacement, without requiring mechanics to ride the bike outside.
"The TRP powered by Sinter Smart Bedding Machine simulates real-world braking conditions in a controlled environment, delivering perfect pad-to-rotor contact in minutes—with no test rides, no noise, and no surprises," TRP said in a release Friday.
“The Smart Bedding Machine has already proven its value in professional service environments,” said Kuan Lai, the manager of advanced R&D at TRP. “Our partnership with Sinter allows us to bring this tool to a broader audience with the support, training, and availability TRP is known for."
Lance Larabee of TRP North America said the machines are available now from TRP's North American office and will be available this fall from its distributors. The dealer cost is $1,700 and MSRP is $2,750.
