JEFFERSONVILLE, IN (BRAIN)—Trek has partnered with Service Net Solutions for the administration of extended service plans covering a variety of Trek bikes and accessories.

“Trek is a quality manufacturer and the perfect partner to launch Service Net’s bicycle program into the cycling marketplace. Trek’s reputation for quality and their incredible dealer network coupled with great marketing support from their management makes this a very exciting launch for Service Net,” said Jeff Oldenburg, vice president of marketing for Service Net.

The “Trek Red Shield Product Protection Plan” will be sold to Trek’s customers through participating authorized Trek dealers in the United States and parts of Canada. The program offers repair coverage on all new Trek family bikes including Trek, Gary Fisher, Klein, LeMond and Mirraco for a term of three or five years. A replacement plan is also available on select bicycle accessories.

The plan offers customers the extra peace of mind knowing their Trek purchase is covered after the manufacturer’s warranty. This peace of mind is extended with the additional coverage of certain normal wear and tear, a key benefit provided as part of the Red Shield program offered through Service Net. All participating Red Shield Trek dealers will offer the service plans and provide service for their customers, building brand loyalty for their consumer base.

“Trek’s goal in developing an extended warranty program for our customers is to offer a great product at a fair price, administered by a great company. We are excited about the Red Shield program that Service Net has developed and offers to our customers through Trek dealers. Service Net’s experience and professionalism fit neatly into Trek’s high standards for products and customer service,” said Dave Smith, director of financial services for Trek.
