Shimano Launching Yumeya at Eurobike

Published September 1, 2008

OSAKA, Japan (BRAIN)—Shimano is releasing a new accessory line for its components called Yumeya, which is Japanese for "Dream Workshop" at this year's Eurobike.

XTR is the first group to get Yumeya treatment, with carbon rear derailleur plates for the RD-M970/971 that save 11 grams, 17- and 20-tooth titanium cassette sprockets that save 15 grams, titanium bolts that shed 25 more grams and a hollow-pin chain drops 10 more grams. There are shift perches and Shimano has much more planned for XTR and you can expect Dura Ace cannot be far behind.

Yumeya will also be shown at Interbike.
