Fuji Donates Bikes to Indoor Velodrome

Published February 25, 2009

PHILADELPHIA, PA (BRAIN)—Boulder Indoor Cycling, home to a brand new indoor velodrome, opened its doors this January with help from Fuji Bicycles.

Fuji donated 37 track bikes including Track and Track Pro models to the velodrome. The bicycles are currently being offered for free to riders who use the facility, giving everyone from beginner to advanced riders the opportunity to experience the velodrome.

“Our partnership with Fuji has been a wonderful experience for us and our members. Fuji’s gracious donation allows everyone who comes to our track to experience the fun and excitement of track riding,” said Paul Wells, managing director of cycling at Boulder Indoor Cycling. “Without Pat Cunnane (president of ASI, Fuji’s parent company) and Fuji’s belief in what we are trying to do here we would still be struggling to bring our dream into reality.”

Boulder Indoor Cycling already has more than 500 members. Running 51 classes per week, the schedule includes training sessions, coached workouts and open riding sessions for beginner through advanced riders, ages 10 and up. The track also has a full service repair shop and a “Do-It Yourself” area fully stocked with tools and a bicycle storage area.
