MADISON, WI (BRAIN)—Cycling Sports Group (formerly known as Cannondale Sports Group) executive vice president of global marketing Bruno Maier is leaving the company.
Maier was responsible for directing global brand strategies and brand marketing for all CSG brands. He had been with the company for at least seven years.
Dorel announced in early April that it was restructuring its locations, where remote offices in Lake Forest, California, Longmont, Colorado, and an IBD-focused in Madison, Wisconsin, would be closed, as the Bethel, Connecticut, facility saw an expansion.
Key employees at these offices are in the process of deciding on whether to relocate to Bethel or not. Maier worked out of Madison.
"It's the right move [from a business perspective]," Maier told BRAIN yesterday, of Dorel's consolidation move. "But it's not [the right move] for my family."
Maier said he hasn't made "any determination" on what his next career move will be.
