OLNEY, IL (BRAIN)—Magura USA will now begin to distribute Vaude Bike Sports.
Beginning January 1, 2010, Magura USA will assume the entire distribution of Vaude Bike Sports products. Effective immediately, Magura will be responsible for all summer 2010 pre-orders.
Magura's dealer direct distribution will focus on the Vaude Bike Sports line, which includes items such as hydration packs, backpacks, panniers, rain gear and cold weather gear. Magura will combine Uvex and Magura sales forces, which will blanket the entire country.
Jan Lorch, international sales manager for Vaude, said, "Magura USA has a solid record of expanding brand positioning with German brands and has an excellent and reputable sales force to support it. We have found an ideal partner in Magura USA."
Magura USA and its dealers will benefit from direct interaction with a German based bike sport specific sales manager, Gernot Moser, who will be dedicated to the U.S market. Gernot said, "I'm very excited to be working with Magura USA. My main focus will be to provide a seamless communication from Vaude to Magura USA so that the service to dealers is most efficient and productive."
In addition to bike sport products Vaude, headquartered in Obereisenbach, Germany, are among the worldwide leaders in mountain sports including mountaineering gear, clothing, shoes, backpacks, tents, sleeping bags, panniers and accessories. Vaude's reputation of excellence, innovation, environmental and social responsibility have been the principles the company was built on since its inception in 1974.
Jeff Enlow, Magura USA general manager said, "Our sales force will work hard to make dealers aware of the Vaude brand, the quality products and the excellent support we can put behind it."
Prior to the January 2010 transition date, all day orders for Summer 2009 will continue to be handled by Liberty Mountain in Salt Lake City. In addition, there will be no change in the sales and distribution of the Vaude Mountain Sports and Packs `N Bags range.
