Veltec Creating Dealer Incentive Offers

Published October 21, 2009

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Veltec Sports launched a new dealer incentive program at this year's Interbike. This program will offer a monthly discount or promotion to U.S. dealers through 2009 and into 2010.

In the coming months, Veltec will continue creative dealer incentive offers and discounts through a monthly newsletter and direct outreach. With the addition of Lake cycling shoes to its brand family, Veltec will affirm its commitment to being the most competitive U.S. cycling products distributor, offering brands of unmatched quality, heritage, and happily offering rewards to its valued retailers.

The Interbike promotion offered dealers who placed an order at the show a chance at winning extra savings through a raffle. Keeping with cycling protocol, the winning dealers were awarded through a mock “podium” presentation in Veltec’s booth.

The raffle winners included first place dealer Great Race Nutrition out of Avon Lake, OH, second place dealer Sundayproshop.com out of Phoenix, and third place dealer Capitol Cyclery from Lafayette, LA. The dealers’ were awarded discounts of 50-, 25-, and 15 percent off of in- and pre-season orders placed at the show. All retailers received 10 percent off orders placed at the show, raffle not withstanding.

“We are an online retailer of sports nutrition for endurance athletes,” said first-place winner and Enervit dealer Mike Cousino from GreatRaceNutrition.com. “Typically I only place orders based on replenishment requirements. But due to the 10 percent off incentive Veltec offered combined with a chance to win a significant discount off my order through the raffle, I placed an order at Interbike and felt like I won twice."

Veltec offered a second, lighter-hearted promotion at the show, dubbed “One Glove.” Descente apparel retailers were sent one Descente Coldout glove prior to Interbike with the incentive to pick up the matching glove in person. Retailers who claimed the matching glove and placed a Descente order received an extra 10 percent discount at the show.
