Velocon Sports to Distribute Storck in U.S.

Published March 3, 2011

CONCORD, MA (BRAIN)—Velocon Sports has signed a multi-year agreement with German-based Storck Bicycle to be the exclusive United States distributor for the company's road and mountain bike products.

U.S. sales and distribution for Stork was previously handled by South Carolina-based Hawley through August, 2010. Since that time, Storck managed U.S. sales efforts from its German headquarters until signing the new agreement with Velocon.

"Velocon will be a great partner for our efforts in the United States," said Markus Storck, founder of Storck Bicycle. "Their commitment to the brand and emphasis on providing a quality experience for dealers makes it an easy decision for us and a welcome addition for discerning American cyclists."

Velocon will carry the complete line of Storck frames and select models of assembled bicycles, including the company's best-selling Fenomalist road bikes, and the new Scenero road series that offer Storck's technology innovations at entry-level price-performance ratios. The company will also provide in-store employee training, printed product information and service manuals, as well as producing Storck's monthly dealer e-newsletter and managing www.storckbicycle.com/usa.

"U.S. retailers are looking for products that help them differentiate their store from the competitors down the street," said Husam Sahin, co-founder and president of Massachusetts-based Velocon Sports. "Storck is one of those brands that can help them do that. They are innovative, one-of-a-kind, and exclusive. We are looking forward to helping retailers grow their business and Storck grow its business in this market as well."
