Published March 28, 2011

LAGUNA HILLS, CA (BRAIN)—Bicycle Retailer and Industry News reporter Nicole Formosa has taken over as the magazine’s international editor.

In her new role, Formosa will head up the magazine’s global coverage including planning content for BRAIN’s annual Taipei issue and European edition, and reporting from key international events like Eurobike, Taipei Cycle and Taichung Bike Week.

She will also work to enhance BRAIN’s online and print coverage of industry news from the Asian and European markets, as well as topics with a global impact such as raw material price fluctuations and currency exchange rates.

“As our globe-trotting reporter, Nicole has traveled extensively to attend foreign trade shows and visit overseas companies. Over the past three years she’s developed a broad understanding of the global industry. We’re looking forward to her further elevating our international coverage in the magazine and online in her expanded role,” said Megan Tompkins, the magazine’s editor.

“The international editor position is a natural fit for me,” Formosa added. “It’s where my interest has been since I started here and I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to continue to build an international presence for BRAIN.”

Formosa started at BRAIN in January 2008 as a staff writer. She can be reached at nformosa@bicycleretailer.com.
