Published March 12, 2012

VANCOUVER, British Columbia (BRAIN) Mar 12 2012 12:42 PM MT—Norco Sync, which makes the bike supplier’s warehouse inventory available to retailers via a partnership with SmartEtailing, has gone live to Norco’s Canadian IBD network.

Norco Sync is the first service of its kind in the Canadian marketplace, offering real-time inventory management that allows dealers to link Norco’s Vancouver and Toronto warehouses with their physical inventory, increasing product availability.

The partnership was announced last fall but just started rolling out to dealers the past three weeks, said SmartEtailing co-founder Mark Graff. SmartEtailing’s other Supplier Sync partners include Trek, Hawley and Quality Bicycle Products.

“IBDs are absolutely essential to the success of our industry,” Norco president John Williams said. “The customer service and face-to-face interaction of the IBD are essential for the ongoing growth of our industry. By teaming up with SmartEtailing we are now able to provide our IBDs with state-of-the-art technology to compete profitably in the online channel. Norco’s role in the Canadian marketplace is to support the IBD in any way possible.”
