Niner, Enve, others return to Interbike

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (BRAIN) Wednesday June 27 2012 4:02 PM MT—Several brands that have been absent from Interbike in recent years are returning for this year's show, show organizers announced this week.

Among those returning are Niner, Zoot Sports, Fox Head, Spy, Enve Composites and Guru. Interbike said it will soon announce the return of several other brands that have skipped the show recently.

Mike Gann, Niner’s chief operating officer, said the calendar was a key reason for his company's return.

“Last year was tricky for us to coordinate logistics with Eurobike and Interbike being so close together. This year’s dates made our decision to come back kind of a no-brainer,” Gann said.

Interbike said Easton Bell Sports, Electra, Specialized, Shimano, Serfas, and Highway 2 have each increased their space commitments at the show this year.

“2012 is shaping up to be the biggest Interbike show we’ve ever had," said Pat Hus, Interbike’s managing director. “We have already well-exceeded last year’s show and we are on our way to our biggest footprint in years. I think it has a lot to do with the excitement we started last year, but clearly it is a reflection of how healthy our industry is right now. Not only are we getting great brands back and majors taking on more, but we are also seeing more new companies coming to the show for the first time in 2012.”

Interbike recently announced its plans to move the show to the Mandalay Bay Conference Center and Hotel for 2013, 2014 and 2015.
