Montgomery to leave Scott Sports next month

Published June 21, 2013

SUN VALLEY, ID (BRAIN) — After nearly nine years with Scott Sports, Adrian Montgomery is leaving the company on July 10, he and the company announced late Thursday.

“It was a very hard decision to leave Scott,” said Montgomery. “I’ve given a lot of myself to the company and am really proud of our accomplishments, but for me I am looking for a new challenge. Model year 2014 is going to be an amazing product year for Scott; they’re on the right track and in good position. I will always be grateful for the opportunities they have provided me.”

Montgomery, who was marketing director at Scott, did not reveal his plans, but in an email to friends said he "will be working with each of you in a new capacity and with a new company." "From my perspective, I couldn't have chosen a better path. I've enjoyed my time with them but now I must move on. Please feel free to reach out to me, the bicycle business is a very tight community and we will surely cross paths again. When I am fully functional at my new destination I will reach out to you once again."

John Quinn, the general manager for Scott's U.S. bike group, said, "Adrian was a pleasure to work with and will be missed.

“We wish him well in the future.”
